Malla Reddy Institute of Technology(MRIT) is a constituent College of Malla Reddy Group of Institutions( MRGI).The Group founded in the year 2002 by Sri. Ch. Malla Reddy, M.L.A,Hno'ble Minister Labour & Employment,Women & Child welfare and Skill development an eminent educationalist, is the largest cluster of technical institutions in the state of Telangana (TS), with student strength of 28,000 and staff strength of 2500.
Malla Reddy Institute of Technology is established in 2008, Permanently Affiliated to JNTUH, Approved by AICTE and has a strong vision of offering world class training to the promising engineers. The college is situated in a serene, lush green environment on Kompally- Bahadhurpally Road, opposite to Forest academy, R.R.District, Telangana State.

- Malla Reddy Institute of Technology got NBA Accreditation in 2019
- The colleg was setup in 2008. It has got its own unique identity in the JNTUH affiliated colleges.
- The students of CSE & Civil engineering departments bagged first ranks amoung JNTUH colleges during the academic years 2010-11 and 2014-15 respectively.
- Every year the college organizes students fest giving ample opportunities to students to expore themselves and bring out their inherent talents that are usefull to them in building up their career. Students are also encouraged to participate in technical paper presentations in other academic institutions.
- The college arranges technical workshops, short term training programs etc. for faculty to update their knowledge and skills.
- Congenial atmosphere prevails among students, teachers and parents.
